notes

The OH credits Ian McDonald with Thistle's third but reports in the SP/GH/SC all say it was Kenny McDowall. Cementing the vote for the latter, an interview in the Herald quotes Miller Reid as saying that he was excited at the fact that Thistle's three scorers were Johnson, Doyle & McDowall due to the fact that their average age was 19. It's an easy decision to go with Kenny McDowall for the third.

Match Report

TTA report

Still struggling with injuries, an unlikely 1st win. A poor Airdrie side took the lead (19) through future-JAG McGuire but Johnston chipped in a loose ball (21) then Doyle (J) crashed in a 25-yarder (38). Sub McDowall sealed the win 5 minutes from time moving Thistle up to 11th, 6 points off the pace.
