You Couldn't Make It Up!

26/9/1992 saw a memorable match at Celtic Park against Celtic, not just because of the score (a 2-1 win), but the decision by John Lambie to play Davie Irons as a sweeper. Less well known is that Gerry Britton and Ian Cameron both ran on to the pitch wearing number 6 jerseys. The "Glasgow Herald" reported that Lambie explained after the match that Britton had "read the jersey upside down" in the dressing room.
