Referee Don McVicar had an interesting afternoon when Thistle played Montrose at Firhill on 26/10/1985. He sent off his namesake (Montrose's left winger) then during the second half the public address burst into life to announce that the owner of a particular car should return to his vehicle immediately. It was the referee's! He didn't stop the game.
