You Couldn't Make It Up!

by Jack Little

According to the "Glasgow Herald", after a 1-1 draw at home to Hearts on 30/10/1982, players and officials were leaving when the Hearts manager Alex MacDonald heard strange banging noises coming from a locked dressing room. The key was found and the door unlocked only for Alan Kay the Thistle right-back to emerge. He might have spent the whole week-end in there but, as MacDonald quipped "I don't think he had that bad a game".
