It's a funny old game. Thistle were due to be at home to Hearts in late September 1957 but Hearts applied for, and were granted, permission to have the match postponed because 5 of their 1st team players were out with flu. The match was played on 11/11 and Thistle lost 3-1 while Hearts consolidated their lead at the top of the league. Thistle had five 1st team regulars out due to injury that night.
