The opening game of season 1952/53 saw the inaugural broadcast by the PT Supporters' Club from Firhill to Ruchill Hospital. The commentator for the Thistle v Hibs match was senior referee Willie Davidson who had just retired. He had lots to describe. Hibs won 5-1.
