Players occasionally come back to haunt their former clubs but East Stirlingshire must have been particularly peeved when they sold Alex Craigie to Thistle. By twist of fixture fate, they played Thistle in consecutive games in March 1933 losing 6-3 and 7-2 in the process. Just to rub it in, Craigie scored hat-tricks in both games.
