The "Motherwell Times" carried a letter from an irate Motherwell season ticket holder on 15/7/1921 complaining bitterly that his club had increased the price of his season ticket to the "outrageous amount" of £2 (around £95 today). Rangers were quoted as charging only 25/- and Thistle (the cup-holders) 30/-.
