The financial fortunes of Thistle fluctuated over the years but on 28/6/1911 the "Dundee Evening Telegraph" reported that "Partick Thistle are in such a flourishing state that they can afford to give presents of £100 to the Chairman of Directors and their Secretary". £100 in 1911 is around £12,000 today.
