Arriving at the ground on the day of the match (Thistle away to Glasgow Wanderers in the Glasgow Cup on 17/9/1892) Wanderers officials discovered the pavilion had been broken into and balls, boots and strips had been stolen. They just managed to find replacements in time for the match to go ahead. Thistle won 3-2.
