Promoted Hamilton Academical (SWPL2 champions) are the new participants.
3 pts for a win, 1 pt for a draw.
League will split into 2 groups of 6 & 4 after 18 games, after which no side can fall below 6th or rise above 7th.
In each of the 2 post-split groups, those finishing level on points will be placed in order of superior goal difference, then by goals scored.
Team finishing 1st will be SWPL champions and have a place in the UEFA Women’s Champions League for 2025/26.
Team finishing 2nd will have a place in the UEFA Women’s Champions League for 2025/26.
Team finishing 9th will face a Relegation Play-Off final match against the winning SWPL 2 team of the SWPL Play-Off semi-final.
Team finishing 10th will be relegated to SWPL 2.
