![]() William Howie was born on Friday, 9th July, 1982, in Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire. The 5' 8 (10st 1lbs) midfielder signed for John Lambie's Thistle in July, 1998, having most recently been with Partick Thistle Boys Club. Aged 16, he made his debut appearance on Monday, 20th July, 1998, in a 2-1 friendly win away to Stenhousemuir. Willie scored his first goal for Thistle on Thursday, 15th July, 2004, in a 9-0 friendly win away to Royal Highland Fusiliers. He scored the last of his 3 goals on Tuesday, 20th July, 2004, in a 3-2 friendly win away to Athlitiki Enosi Paphos. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 25th September, 2004, in a 2-1 defeat away to St Johnstone in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 54 occasions. Willie's club-list included Partick Thistle, Glenafton Athletic, Cumnock Juniors and Pollok. |
