 William Hodge was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The 5' 9 (11st 10lbs) defender joined Thistle in 1892, having most recently been with Rangers. He made his first known appearance on Saturday, 8th October, 1892, in an 8-3 defeat away to Cowlairs in the Scottish Alliance League. There were no known goals for William during his spell with Thistle. He played his last known game for the club on Saturday, 4th March, 1893, in a 3-1 defeat at home to Vale of Leven in the Scottish Alliance League, having appeared for the Thistle on at least 9 occasions. His club-list included Rangers, Partick Thistle and Accrington Stanley. We don't know where or when William died. *
