 Walter Buckton was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The forward signed for George Easton's Thistle on Thursday, 4th April, 1907, having most recently been with Newmains. He made his debut appearance on Wednesday, 10th April, 1907, in a 3-0 defeat away to Rangers in the Glasgow Charity Cup. There were no goals for Walter during his spell with Thistle. He played his second and last game for the club on Saturday, 13th April, 1907, in a 4-1 defeat at home to St Mirren in the SFL First Division. His known club-list included Newmains and Partick Thistle. We don't know where or when Walter died. *
