Vale of Leven's revenge
• The February 1884 Scottish Cup final was awarded to Queen's Park when Vale of Leven were a no-show in protest for their appeal for postponement being denied. The following month, Vale took out their frustration on Partick Thistle, citing the involvement of our president (who also served as an SFA man) in the matter!
