Thomas O'Hara was born on Sunday, 17th August, 1952, in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire. The 5' 7 (10st 10lbs) midfielder signed for Benny Rooney's Thistle on Tuesday, 12th June, 1984, having most recently been with Falkirk. Aged 31, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 28th July, 1984, in a 2-0 friendly defeat away to Queen's Park. There were no goals for Tommy during his time with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Wednesday, 8th May, 1985, in a 1-1 win (on pens) at home to Clyde in the Glasgow Cup, having appeared as a Jag on 23 occasions. His club-list included Kirkintilloch Rob Roy, Celtic, Queen of the South, Washington Diplomats, Jacksonville Tea Men, Motherwell, Falkirk, Partick Thistle and Lesmahagow. Tommy died on Thursday, 28th January, 2016, in Kingskettle, Fife, aged 63. |
