Thomas Elliott was born on Thursday, 16th December, 1965, in Glasgow. The 5' 10 (10st 3lbs) defender signed for Billy Lamont's Thistle on Thursday, 23rd July, 1987, having most recently been with Baillieston Juniors. Aged 21, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 25th July, 1987, in a 0-0 neutral-venue friendly draw against East Stirlingshire. There were no goals for Tommy during his spell with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 29th October, 1988, in a 1-1 draw at home to Meadowbank Thistle in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 6 occasions. Tommy's club-list included Baillieston Juniors, Partick Thistle and Stenhousemuir. |

In an emergency he played a fine game against Kilmarnock in 1987 before returning to Baillieston. He was called up the following season, but managed only one substitute appearance for the first team. He was a reserve team stalwart all season, before being released and signing for Stenhousemuir. |
