![]() This centre half played with (92-93 Alliance champions) Cowlairs in the inaugural Scottish Second Division championship of 1893-94. They finished 2nd, just 2 points behind Hibernian. In the post-League period which followed, Thomas turned out for an experimental Partick Thistle side on 19th May 1894. However, the 3-0 friendly defeat at home to Dumbarton suggests much of the experiment failed. Thomas had a spell with Linthouse the following season, and finally jumped ship before things went downhill for Cowlairs, signing permanently for Linthouse in the summer of 1895. He played in around 70 first class League & Cup games for both clubs throughout the 1890s. |
