Steven Andrew Bonar was born on Tuesday, 20th May, 1979, in Glasgow. The 5' 9½ (10st 0lbs) forward signed for Tommy Bryce's Thistle on Friday, 28th August, 1998, having most recently been with Ayr United. Aged 23, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 14th November, 1998, in a 2-0 defeat away to Stirling Albion in the SFL Second Division. There were no goals for Steven during his time with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Sunday, 18th July, 1999, in a 1-0 neutral-venue defeat against St Johnstone in the Motorola Cup , having appeared as a Jag on 17 occasions. Steven's club-list included Kirkintilloch Rob Roy, Ayr United, Partick Thistle, Albion Rovers, Dumbarton, Forfar Athletic, Raith Rovers, Stranraer and Berwick Rangers. |

Spent the bulk of the season on the fringes of the first team but did enough to earn himself a contract for the following campaign but never established himself as a regular and was eventually freed. |
