Steven James Stuart Anderson was born on Thursday, 19th December, 1985, in Edinburgh. The 5' 11 (11st 5lbs) defender temporarily transferred to Gary Caldwell's Thistle on Tuesday, 29th January, 2019, from his parent club, St Johnstone. Aged 33, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 2nd February, 2019, in a 2-1 win away to Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the SPFL Championship. That day, Steven became a member of our scoring debutant's club. He scored the last of his 3 goals on Saturday, 30th March, 2019, in a 3-0 win away to Greenock Morton in the SPFL Championship. He played his last game for the club on on Saturday, 4th May, 2019, in a 3-0 win away to Queen of the South in the SPFL Championship, having appeared as a Jag on 16 occasions. At June, 2024, his club-list included Dundee United, St Johnstone, Partick Thistle, Raith Rovers, Forfar Athletic, Berwick Rangers, Crossgates Primrose and Broxburn Athletic. |

Steven Anderson signed with Partick Thistle on 29th January 2019, agreeing a six-month loan deal from St Johnstone. The experienced centre-half came to Maryhill looking for more first team football, bringing with him an incredible wealth of Sottish football experience. Anderson started his senior career with St. Johnstone way back in 2004 where he impressed during a trial period after being released by Dundee United. He debuted for the McDiarmid Park side against Raith Rovers, appearing a total of 22 times in his first season with the Saints. Overall, Anderson made 440 appearances for the Saints in all competitions including five appearances in the Europa League. He was also a Scottish Cup winner having captained St Johnstone to cup success at Celtic Park by defeating Dundee United. Ando debuted as a Jag in a 2-1 win away at Inverness, playing just shy of 85 minutes. The centre-half scored the opening goal of the game, tapping home Craig Slater’s cross from a yard or so. The following week he netted the winner in a Scottish Cup tie at East Fife for a 2 goals in 2 games start! During his loan spell with the Jags, Anderson made 16 appearances, scoring 3 goals in all competitions. He joined Raith Rovers on a season long loan in September 2019 then, in July 2020, signed for Scottish League One club Forfar Athletic on a two-year deal. On 7 May 2022, Anderson signed a one-year contract with Lowland League side Berwick Rangers, with the further possibility of a one-year contract extension. In January of 2024, Anderson signed with East of Scotland Football League team Broxburn Athletic. He played in a majority of Broxburn's matches until the end of the season, eventually winning the East of Scotland League Premier Division and securing promotion to the Lowland League. |
