Steele (forename unknown) was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. *

The forward first appeared for Thistle in May, 1893.

He made his first known appearance on Saturday, 20th May, 1893, in a 6-0 neutral-venue win against Dykebar in the Greenock Charity Cup.

His one and only known goal came on Saturday, 27th May, 1893, in a 7-4 win away to Morton in the Greenock Charity Cup.

That turned out to be his second (and last known) game for the club.

Steele's known club-list included only Partick Thistle.
