Bio Extra

In April 2000, this young midfielder became the second Canadian to play for Thistle, following on from (trialist) Jeff Aunger, 6 years earlier. He found it difficult to break into the first-teams of his main early clubs, Hibs and Dunfermline, who loaned him out to Stenhousemuir, Partick Thistle, Peterhead and Solihull Borough, two apiece respectively. The 22-year-old signed with Cowdenbeath in the springtime of 2002. After his short stint at Central Park, he left to further his studies in Kentucky, where he played with the Cumberlands University team. Came back to Scotland and played for three seasons with Newtongrange Star. Returned home to Maple Ridge and played with Metro-Ford. Started a family at that time and, after retiring as a player in his mid 30s, he stook up coaching. “Coach Huggy” as he soon became known, coached his teams to Provincial Titles, League winners, National Championships, many cups, and even had three consecutive undefeated seasons. As his website tells, individual awards included “Adult Provincial Coach of the Year” and “Fraser Valley Coach of the Year” awards. In 2017, Coach Huggy evolved into “Huggy the Healer” after becoming a certified Emotion Code Practitioner. His healing style is described as unique and takes a very spiritual approach while combining the science of healing from quantum physics and kinesiology.
