Bio Extra

In January 2024, with Thistle's main back-up 'keeper David Mitchell being out with a back injury, Ross was brought in as the ideal candidate to push Jamie Sneddon for the #1 jersey. He had most recently been working with goalkeeping coach Paul Gallacher as the understudy to Hearts #1 Craig Gordon.

Ross was a product of the Motherwell youth academy and was capped for Scotland at U-17, U-18 & U-19 levels. However, he has only really settled as the #1 'keeper at one club in his career, doing so at Albion Rovers for two full seasons in 2015-16 and 2016-17.

In November 2023, he started training with EFL League One club Carlisle United and was on the verge of signing with an English club for the first time in his career, until a registration issue scuppered the move.
