| Ross McGeough |
Ross Michael McGeough was born on Monday, 29th April, 1991, in Glasgow. The 6' 0 (12st 2lbs) defender signed for Ian McCall's Thistle on Monday, 16th June, 2008, having most recently been with Partick Thistle U-17. Aged 17, he made his debut appearance on Thursday, 10th July, 2008, in a 3-0 friendly defeat away to Stranraer. There were no goals for Ross during his spell with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Tuesday, 12th April, 2011, in a 2-1 defeat at home to Falkirk in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 8 occasions. Ross's club-list included Partick Thistle and Petershill. |
![]() In May 2010 he was part of the under–19 side who won the SFL Youth Cup. Thistle defeated Livingston 3–2 in the final. At the conclusion of that season, McGeough, along with Ryan Scully and Ryan MacBeth, was promoted to the first team squad. He got his only full 90 minute game on his competitive debut against Raith Rovers in April 2010, the 0-0 draw being a feather in the cap for the defender. Despite this, he never seriously challenged for a first-team place and was released by the new manager, Jackie McNamara, at the end of season 2010-11. Played with Petershill before calling it a day in 2013. |
