 Robinson (forename unknown) was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The defender appeared for Thistle in April, 1897. He made his only known appearance on Saturday, 24th April, 1897, in a 4-3 win away to Morton in the SFL Second Division. There were no goals for Robinson in his only known appearance for Thistle. His known club-list included only Partick Thistle. We don't know where or when Robinson died. *

Despite almost constant pressure Thistle had only one goal to show for their efforts by h-t. The 2nd half was just as close but a second goal eased the nerves and secured the championship but promotion to the first division was only confirmed by committee on 1 June.
