Robert Watters Christie was born on Wednesday, 15th January, 1913, in Thornton, Fife.

The forward signed for Donald Turner's Thistle on Saturday, 30th November, 1935, having most recently been with Lochgelly Albert.

Aged 23, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 8th February, 1936, in a 1-0 win at home to Heart of Midlothian in the SFL First Division.

There were no goals for Robert during his time with Thistle.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 12th December, 1936, in a 2-2 draw away to Hibernian in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 15 occasions.

His club-list included Lochgelly Albert, Cardenden, Partick Thistle, Arbroath, Forfar Athletic and Stenhousemuir.

Robert died on Tuesday, 5th August, 1980, in Kinross, Perth and Kinross, aged 67.
