Bio Extra

Central midfielder who made his debut with Ayr United as a 17-year-old in May, 2012. Went on to make over 200 appearances there, before signing a 2 year deal with Livingston in the close season of 2019. Did well at Almondvale and joined Motherwell on a short loan spell in September 2020, a deal which became permanent 4 months later. Played 22 times with the top tier outfit in 2020-21. Ian McCall, who had worked with the player at Ayr, thought him "a terrific boy" and one of Scottish football's "best hidden secrets" and brought to Firhill in the January 2022 transfer window. Broke his goal-scoring duck on match day 19, putting the Jags one up in the Championship play-off match at home to Inverness, but it was a false dawn. The player could not be accomodated in the 2022-23 budget, and a parting of the ways was announced in late June, 2022. Signed a one-year deal with Dougie Imrie's Morton in August, 2022. Robbie's surprise return to Firhill was announced in the close season of 2024 when he penned a 2-year deal with the club.
