Rikki Ferguson was born on Wednesday, 8th August, 1956, in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire. The goalkeeper temporarily transferred to Thistle in October, 1987, from his parent club, Hamilton Academical. Aged 31, he made his only appearance on Tuesday, 20th October, 1987, in a 4-2 defeat away to Dumbarton in the SFL First Division. Rikki's club-list included Hamilton Academical, Morton, Partick Thistle and Queen of the South. |
Another emergency choice goalkeeper, Ferguson was with Hamilton, from whom Thistle signed him on loan for one game against Dumbarton. Thistle lost 2-4 and Ferguson returned to Hamilton, before joining Queen of the South. |
