 Richard Newall was born on Wednesday, 29th March, 1978, in Glasgow. The 5' 11 (11st 8lbs) midfielder signed for John Lambie's Thistle on Monday, 5th July, 1999, having most recently been with Ayr United. Aged 21, he made his debut appearance on Sunday, 18th July, 1999, in a 1-0 neutral-venue defeat against St Johnstone in the Motorola Cup . There were no goals for Richie during his spell with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 18th September, 1999, in a 1-0 defeat at home to Hamilton Academical in the SFL Second Division, having appeared as a Jag on 5 occasions. Richie's club-list included Benburb, Ayr United, Irvine Meadow XI, Partick Thistle, Glenafton Athletic and Pollok. |
