Bio Extra

We know nothing about this goalkeeper other than that which is stated above. The initial 'R' was quoted in the press for his August 1887 appearance, differentiating him from 'Robert Brown' who was playing outfield on the same day. The second appearance in May 1888 had no initial, but we've presumed him to be the same player. Of the several reserve team line-ups we've seen for 1887-88, none feature a 'Brown' in goals, the stated reserves 'keeper seems to have been 'Urquhart'.
