Quinton Norman Jacobs was born on Monday, 22nd January, 1979, in Windhoek.

The 5' 11 (11st 12lbs) midfielder signed for John Lambie's Thistle on Thursday, 2nd September, 1999, having most recently been with Black Africa.

Aged 20, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 4th September, 1999, in a 1-1 draw away to Stranraer in the SFL Second Division.

Quinton scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 4th December, 1999, in a 2-1 defeat away to Ross County in the SFL Second Division.

He scored the last of his 3 goals on Saturday, 12th February, 2000, in a 5-4 win at home to Queen of the South in the SFL Second Division.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 22nd April, 2000, in a 2-0 defeat away to Stenhousemuir in the SFL Second Division, having appeared as a Jag on 31 occasions.

Quinton's club-list included Black Africa, Partick Thistle, MSV Duisburg, Black Leopards, Civics Windhoek, Ramblers, Ajax Cape Town, Bryne, African Stars, Jabal Al-Mukaber, United Sikkim, Salgaocar and Mohun Bagan.

Made his debut at Stranraer in September of 1999. A long drawn out work permit application saga threatened his transfer from Namibian League Champions Black Africa to Firhill. Holder of 25 caps for his native Namibia, 2 of which were won while a Thistle player. He became a bit of a favourite with the fans in his season at Firhill, although his form was a bit eratic. incoming manager John Lambie wasn't so impressed, and his contract wasn't renewed at the end of the season.
