Peter Marinello was born on Monday, 20th February, 1950, in Edinburgh.

The 5' 9 (11st 0lbs) forward informally joined Peter Cormack's Thistle in July, 1983, having most recently been with Heart of Midlothian.

Aged 33, he made his debut appearance on Wednesday, 27th July, 1983, in a 4-0 friendly win away to Linlithgow Rose.

There were no goals for Peter during his spell with Thistle.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 10th March, 1984, in a 2-1 win at home to Meadowbank Thistle in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 8 occasions.

Peter's club-list included Hibernian, Arsenal, Portsmouth, Motherwell, Canberra City, Fulham, Phoenix Inferno, Heart of Midlothian, Partick Thistle and Broxburn Athletic.

Bio Extra

A friend of manager Peter Cormack, Marinello appeared from nowhere to play occasional games for the club. At the end of a successful career, he was not fit enough to play 90 minutes, but still showed his ability when he appeared as a substitute.
