Paul Michael Watson was born on Tuesday, 29th October, 1968, in Glasgow.

The defender joined Billy Lamont's Thistle for a trial period in August, 1988, having most recently been with Newcastle United.

Aged 19, he made his debut appearance on Friday, 5th August, 1988, in a 3-2 friendly win away to Portadown.

There were no goals for Paul during his trial period.

He played his second and last game for the club on Saturday, 6th August, 1988, in a 2-0 friendly win away to Ballymena United.

His club-list included Ayresome North, Newcastle United, Partick Thistle, Waikato United, North Shields, Hemptinne, East Stirlingshire, Shettleston Juniors, St Roch's, Ferryhill Athletic, South Shields, Crook Town and Esh Winning.
