The 5' 10 (11st 10lbs) midfielder signed for Ian McCall's Thistle on Thursday, 12th June, 2008, having most recently been with Queen's Park. Aged 21, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 5th July, 2008, in a 3-1 friendly win away to Blyth Spartans. Paul scored his first goal for Thistle on Tuesday, 15th July, 2008, in a 2-0 friendly win away to Stirling Albion. He scored the last of his 6 goals on Saturday, 16th October, 2010, in a 1-0 win at home to Falkirk in the SFL First Division. He played his last game for the club on Wednesday, 27th March, 2013, in a 3-0 win away to Cowdenbeath in the SFL First Division, having clocked up an impressive 202 appearances as a Jag.
