1985-86
1. Mon-28-Oct-1985 [h] L0-0 Clydebank (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
MP 19/11/1985. AET. Lost 8-7 on penalties. Line-up as yet unsourced.
A hard-fought game with a barrowload of near misses - even after 30 extra minutes.

1986-87
2. Mon-27-Oct-1986 [a] L1-3 Motherwell (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
MP 15/11/1986. McNAIR. Line-up as yet unsourced.

1988-89
3. Sun-25-Sep-1988 [h] W7-0 Annan Athletic (Scottish Youth Cup Preliminary Round)
MP 15/10/1988. Names not divulged. Scorers were No 10 (2), No 9 (2), Nos 6, 7 and 8 1 each.
Thistle led 4-0 at half-time - helped by some poor defending by Annan. The tried to take the game to Thistle and did pose some problems for a spell but the pressure soon transferred to the other end and Thistle ran out comfortable winners with 3 more goals.
4. Tue-25-Oct-1988 [a] W0-0 Queen's Park (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
MP 12/11/1988. AET. Won 4-2 on pens after a nil nil draw. Line-up as yet unsourced.
On an energy-sapping pitch and in heavy rain, both sides deserved credit. There were chances at both ends, good goalkeeping and near misses. Extra time proved goalless as well and with tiring legs all round it went to penalties, the Thistle keeper saving two.
5. Wed-14-Dec-1988 [a] L1-2 Hamilton Academical (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
MP 3/1/1989. Names not divulged. Scorer was No 6.
Hamilton's team comprised mainly of regular reserves. The first half was even but the second increasingly favoured Hamilton. It was no surprise when they took the lead and hit the bar soon after. Thistle fought on however and No 6 finished off a pass from No 11.

1990-91
6. Wed-12-Sep-1990 [a] W1-0 Ayr United (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
MP 22/9/1990. Webb, Roach, Crowe, McLean, Mills, O'Reilly, Duncan, Smith, Lynas, Annand, Wynne. (STRAITON.)
An open first half saw chances at both ends but neither team managed to convert. Smith hit the post (52) as Thistle got on top and Straiton set up Wynne with a 30-yard pass and took the return cross to score. Webb saved a penalty (88) for a close win.
7. Sun-21-Oct-1990 [h] W4-2 Albion Rovers (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
ACA. AET (2-2). LYNAS (2), SMITH (pen), McADAM. Line-up as yet unsourced.
Lynas gave Thistle an early lead but two defensive lapses let Rovers score twice. Smith netted a pen (75). A brutal attack on McAdam led to a red card. The man advantage paid of in extra time and goals by McAdam and Lynas saw Thistle though to the next round.
8. Sun-18-Nov-1990 [h] L1-1 Elgin City (Scottish Youth Cup 3rd Round)
MP 1/12/1990. AET. Lost 1-4 on pens. ANNAND. Line-up, as yet unsourced.
Annand gave Thistle the lead (70 secs) but somehow they found themselves going into extra time drawing 1-1. He was the chief culprit as numerous chances were spurned. Elgin equalised (68) with a rare attack and after extra time penalties scored and missed proved crucial.

1991-92
9. Tue-17-Sep-1991 [h] W4-3 Rangers (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
MP 8/10/1991. Budd, Farrell, Muir, Botterill, O'Reilly, Collins, Fleming, Smith, Straiton, OWENS (2), ELLIOT. (DUNCAN (pen), Seggie.)
Rangers dominated early on and took a 2-goal lead but Thistle rallied and Elliot forced in a ball the keeper had fumbled (15). Owens equalised then he knocked in a ball the keeper misjudged. Rangers converted a pen then Duncan did so as well for 4-3. A fine win.
10. Sun-27-Oct-1991 [a] W4-1 Dalbeattie Star (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
MP 2/11/199. Budd, Farrell, Duncan, O'Reilly, Botterill, Hendren, Fleming, SEGGIE, OWENS (2), STRAITON, Elliot. (Muir, Ronald.)
There were chances for both teams then Thistle got on top despite some rough tackles. A penalty for hand ball gave Dalbeatie the lead. Owens levelled and Seggie headed them into lead. Dalbeatie tired after half-time. Owens and Straiton got the goals they deserved.
11. Thu-21-Nov-1991 [h] W1-0 St Mirren (Scottish Youth Cup 3rd Round)
MP 30/11/1991. Budd, Farrell, Duncan, Botterill, O'Reilly, SMITH, Seggie, Collins, Hendren, Owens, Elliot. (Ronald, Muir.)
O'Reilly was sent off for kicking ex-team mate Lynas (2). Smith's diving header made it 1-0 against the run of play. Lynas was booked for punching in a goal, St Mirren "scored" but it was off-side then their keeper was sent off for bringing down Elliot outside the box. The second half was calmer.
12. Tue-18-Feb-1992 [h] W3-1 Brechin City (Scottish Youth Cup Quarter Final)
MP 29/2/1992. Budd, Farrell, Muir, Botterill, O'Reilly, DUNCAN (pen), Seggie, Collins, SMITH, OWENS, Elliot.
Owens tapped the ball in after a goalmouth scramble (43) then Smith headed in a Duncan cross (45). Farrell was brough down and Duncan scored with the pen. The defence was caught square and Brechin reduced the lead. Thistle finished strongly but couldn't add to the score.
13. Sun-15-Mar-1992 [a] L1-1 Ayr United (Scottish Youth Cup Semi Final)
MP 21/3/1992. AET (0-0). Lost 5-3 on pens. Budd, Farrell, Muir, O'Reilly, Botterill, SMITH, Hendren, Collins, Elliot, Docherty, Duncan. (McFarlane, Frater.)
Neither side seemed to be able to control their nerves and play was scrappy. Ayr took the lead in extra time but Smith fired past the keeper for 1-1 following a defensive mix-up. Botterill missed a great chance (120) and Thistle's first ever Youth Cup semi-final ended in penalty shoot-out defeat.

1992-93
14. ?Wed-21-Oct-1992 [h] W2-1 Falkirk (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
MP 10/11/1992. Nominal match date. Budd, O'Reilly, Ferguson, Logan, Galloway, Botterill, Fraiter, Fleck, DOCHERTY (2), Stirling, McCormack. (Robertson.) 1st Round bye.
Thistle were on top for most the first half but the Falkirk keeper had some fine saves. Latterly Bud was called into action as well. A well constructed goal after half-time put the Bairns in front but Docherty made up for some bad misses by rounding the keeper twice for 2-1.
15. Thu-26-Nov-1992 [h] W3-1 Threave Rovers (Scottish Youth Cup 3rd Round)
MP 5/12/1992 & GLN 3/12/1992. Budd, Logan, Ferguson, O'Reilly, Galloway, FLECK, McCormick, BOTTERILL, STIRLING, Frater, Green.
Man of the Match Botterill headed in from a corner then Fleck finished off a fine run by Frater. Stirling made it three. Budd was sent off late on for a "professional foul". Threave's youngsters never gave up and their goal came from a late penalty.
16. Tue-16-Feb-1993 [a] L1-4 Arbroath (Scottish Youth Cup Quarter Final)
MP 13/3/1993. STIRLING. Line-up as yet unsourced.
Arbroath went ahead when Budd was lobbed. He saved a penalty after half-time but Arbroath weren't to be denied and they went on to score three more. Stirling scored late on but Arbroath were far better and deserved their win.

1993-94
17. Wed-27-Oct-1993 [h] L0-2 Rangers (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
MP 2/11/1993. Collins, Jordan, Stirling, Dillon, Wood, Marshall, Docherty, Mitchell, Stirling, Fay, Sharkie. (Blackburn.) 1st Round bye.
With an average age of around 16 Thistle's youngsters gave a good account of themselves but had to admit defeat to goals (44 and 90).

1994-95
18. Wed-02-Nov-1994 [a] L0-1 Clydebank (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
MP 19/11/1994. Line-up as yet unsourced. 1st Round bye.

1995-96
19. Sun-05-Nov-1995 [a] W4-0 Buckie Thistle (Scottish Youth Cup 3rd Round)
MP 11/11/1995. Arthur, Berney, Williamson, McTaggart, Archibald, Carberry, AJETUNMUBI (2), APILIGA, Dunn, BOYLE, West. (Gormill, Crawford, Buchanan.) 1st and 2nd round byes.
20. Thu-07-Dec-1995 [h] L0-2 Aberdeen (Scottish Youth Cup 4th Round)
MP 26/12/1995 & APJ 8/12/1995. Line-up yet unsourced.
Much less experienced than their opponents, Thistle hit the bar in the first minute. West went close then the Dons keeper sliced a clearance past his own post. A Williamson clearance struck a forward and looped over Arthur for 1-0 (30). A second-half goal meant no way back.

1996-97
21. Wed-23-Oct-1996 [h] W10-0 Fort William (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
MP 19/11/1996. DUNN (4), LAUGHLAN (3), CRAWFORD, BOYLE, SMITH. Line-up as yet unsourced. 1st Round bye.
22. Mon-16-Dec-1996 [h] L0-1 Rangers (Scottish Youth Cup 3rd Round)
MP 1/1/1997. At Creamery Park. Arthur, Berney, Malloy, Boyle, Crawford, McCann, Ritchie, Apiliga, Dunn, Williamson, Lauchlan.
Thistle could count themselves unlucky. There weren't many chances in the game but they had the better of them. Lauchlan went close twice and Dunn almost scored but a goal in the last minute signalled a cup exit.

1997-98
23. ?Tue-14-Oct-1997 [a] W3-1 Forfar Athletic (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
MP 25/10/1997. Aitchison, McKenzie, Bobby Smith, Bryan Smith, McCANN, Hamilton, Collins, Barnes, MARTIN (2), Dunn, Gallen. 1st Round bye.
24. Sun-23-Nov-1997 [h] W2-1 Airdrieonians (Scottish Youth Cup 3rd Round)
MP 22/11/1997. Line-up and scorers as yet unsourced.
25. Sun-15-Feb-1998 [h] L0-2 Heart of Midlothian (Scottish Youth Cup Quarter Final)
MP 21/2/1998. Line-up as yet unsourced.
Considering the line-up included 1st XI players Lauchlan, McKenzie, Dunn and Martin, it was a poor performance with few chances made. Two goals (15 and near the end) put paid to the cup run this season.

1998-99
26. Thu-15-Oct-1998 [h] W4-2 Montrose (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
MP 7/11/1998. At Firhill. Aitchison, Bailey, George, Edwards, McCANN, Howie, Reid, McKENZIE, Houston, FISHER (2), McVey. (Fraser, Rodden.)
Houston set up Fisher to put Thistle ahead (13) then McKenzie made it 2-0 via a post. Two minutes later a defensive mix-up led to a goal. "A stunning goal" by Fisher restored the 2-goal lead (55) but Montrose scored (70). There were chances and saves at both ends until McCann scored from the edge of the box (89).
27. Sun-15-Nov-1998 [a] L2-2 St Mirren (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
PDE 17/11/1998 & MP 28/11/1998. AET. Lost 3-4 on pens. Aitchison, Bailey, George, Walker, Edwards, Howie, Reid, Fisher, Houston, Rodden, McVEY. (Plews, Fraser.) (1 og.)
McVey chipped the keeper (off his line) from 40 yards for a stunning opener. A poor pass-back led to an equaliser (60). McVey's cross was touched in by a defender via a post for 2-1 but a dazzling run past 4 defenders saw an equaliser (68). St Mirren hit woodwork twice in ET then it was on to penalties.

1999-00
28. Tue-07-Sep-1999 [h] W2-1 Berwick Rangers (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
TS 7/9/1999 & MP 18/9/1999. Sinclair, McCawley, McVey, Edwards, Walker, Smith, Reid, Howie, RODDEN, LYLE, Tycznski.
In the evening sunshine Berwick took the lead but goals by Rodden (when he punished a defensive error) and Lyle (at the second attempt when the keeper made a fine stop initially) put them up at h-t. Reid and Kelly were sent off in a towsy second half but they held on comfortably.
29. ?Tue-19-Oct-1999 [a] W2-0 Whitehill Welfare (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
MP 30/10/1999. GIBSON, SMITH. Line-up as yet unsourced.
Given the physical, robust nature of Welfare's play, it was a good win for the young Thistle team. Gibson scored (3) and Smith put the tie to bed (86).
30. Thu-28-Oct-1999 [a] L1-3 Kilmarnock (Scottish Youth Cup 3rd Round)
MP 14/11/1999. REID. Line-up as yet unsourced.
A superb through ball by Lyle set up Reid for the opener (3) and only some contentious off-side decisions frustrated attempts to increase it. Killie scored (45) and eventually got on top, going ahead (63). A blatantly off-side goal (88) made it look worse than it was.

2000-01
31. Tue-12-Sep-2000 [h] L2-4 Queen's Park (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
MP 30/9/2000. Melville, Brand, Stirling, Easton, Walker, MILLIGAN, Kelly, HOWIE, Perriss, Gibson, McCann. (B. Madden).
Lots of early pressure and chances came to nothing then Queens took the lead (20). Howie headed in a Gibson cross (33). Milligan put Thistle ahead after h-t but Queens stepped up a gear and Thistle faded. Poor defending at set pieces led to 3 goals and cup defeat.

2001-02
32. Thu-06-Sep-2001 [h] L1-3 Cowdenbeath (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
MP 15/9/2001. Agnew, Brand, Bennett, Croall, McBride. McIntyre, Lambie, MacDonald, TOWILL, Barclay, Monaghan. (Collins, Donnelly.)
Thistle trailed 2-0 at half-time but the team-talk at the interval seemed to take effect - initially at least - when Towill lobbed the keeper soon after the restart. They has their best spell but just couldn't find another goal. The third was scored by a Thistle trialist 4 weeks earlier.

2002-03
33. ?Wed-11-Sep-2002 [a] W4-2 Berwick Rangers (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
MP 14/9/2002. McMahon, Gibson, Rogerson, McDonald, Brown, WALES, Brawley, JAMES, SHIELDS, McBride, CARRUTH.
Goals by Wales, James and Carruth put Thistle 3-up at half-time. Taking the foot off the gas almost cost them dear as Berwick scored 63 and 67 (an og by Gibson). Berwick pressed for an equaliser but it was Shields with a low shot who made sure.
34. Wed-09-Oct-2002 [a] L0-9 Heart of Midlothian (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
MP 19/10/2002 & LH. McMahon, Gibson, Rushford, McDonald, Brown, James, Cassidy, Brawley, Shields, McBride, Wales.

2003-04
35. ?Thu-12-Sep-2003 [h] W1-0 Stirling Albion (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
MP 20/9/2003. McCurley, Nimmo, Fraser, Wilson, McDonald, Rushford, McBride, Ferguson, Shields, Hutchison, MURRAY. (Strachan, Wales.)
A hard-fought match and a big test for the young side and it looked like going into Extra Time until Murray headed in the only goal.
36. Sun-05-Oct-2003 [a] W2-1 Vale of Leithen (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
MP 25/10/2003. O'Hanlon, Cairns, FRASER, Rushford, Wilson, Cassidy, Ferguson, Wales, SHIELDS, Murray, Hutchison. (Gault, McBride, Muir.)
Slack defending let Vale in to open the scoring (21) then Thistle went close with a free-kick. Shields saw his shot deflected past the keeper for 1-1 (38). Thistle moved up a gear after h-t and a back header by Hutchison was finished off by Fraser (63).
37. Sun-09-Nov-2003 [a] W1-0 Inverness Caledonian Thistle (Scottish Youth Cup 3rd Round)
MP 22/11/2003. Dakhill, Nimmo, Fraser, Wilson, McDonald, Cassidy, Ferguson, Strachan, Shields, Murray, HUTCHISON. (Muir, Branch.)
With a bit more luck Thistle might have scored earlier than 34 minutes when Murray created an opening for Hutchison. The second half saw Caley increase the pressure searching for an equaliser but a couple of close things was all they could manage.
38. Wed-17-Dec-2003 [a] L0-2 Livingston (Scottish Youth Cup Quarter Final)
MP 27/12/2003. Dakhill, Gault, Fraser, Wilson, McDonald, Cassidy, Ferguson, Wales, Shields, McBride, Hutchison. (Cairns, Murray, Strachan.)
Thistle fell behind early on and were never able to get back on level terms. A second goal put paid to their hopes for going further in the competition.

2004-05
39. Sun-07-Nov-2004 [h] L2-2 Dundee (Scottish Youth Cup 3rd Round)
MP 13/11/2004. AET. Lost 9-8 on pens. McCurley, Wilson, Haswell, Carter, McKEOWN, Cassidy, STEWART, Cameron, Shields, McGoldrick, Strachan. (MacKay, Barron, Niven.) 1st and 2nd Round byes.
Thistle led 2-0 at h-t (goals by McKeown and Stewart) and hit the post twice. Thistle's only slack spell in the match saw Dundee score twice soon after the restart. They dominated but couldn't find the net. ET came and went and a prolonged penalty shootout favoured Dundee.

2005-06
40. Sun-11-Sep-2005 [h] W7-1 Edinburgh City (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
MP 24/9/2005. Trialist, McDevitt, Haswell, CAMERON, Carter, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, STEWART (3), McGOLDRICK, STRACHAN (2). (Trialist, Trialist, Trialist.)
Thistle were 6-1 up with just 43 minutes remaining! They should have gone on to score more. Stewart got the ball rolling (12) then the best goal of the 8 (a beautiful free-kick) made it 1-1. City never gave up but they had no answer to the speed of Strachan and McGoldrick.
41. Sun-16-Oct-2005 [h] L1-2 Hamilton Academical (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
MP 25/10/2005. Trialist, McDevitt, Haswell, Trialist, Carter, CAMERON, McAllister, Trialist, Stewart, McGoldrick, Strachan. (Christie.)
With two U/16 youths in the line-up, Thistle took the lead when Cameron drilled home a Strachan cut-back. That's how it remained until Hamilton levelled (76) and they went on to grab the winner (83).

2006-07
42. Sun-17-Sep-2006 [h] L3-6 Dunfermline Athletic (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
MP 30/9/2006. AET (3-3). COULTER, WARREN, BRIGHT. Line-up as yet unsourced.
2-down after 17 minutes, Thistle fought back and a deflected shot by Coulter reduced the lead (30) only for Dunfermline to restore it. Samushonga saved a penalty. Warren made it 3-2 then Bright 3-3 (89). A missed chance in ET was costly and the Pars ran out comfortable winners in the end.

2007-08
43. Sun-16-Sep-2007 [h] W9-0 Berwick Rangers (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
MP 22/9/2007. At Firhill. Samushonga, Boyle, O'KEEFE, Little, Brown, Robertson, SMITH, Coulter, EAGLESHAM (3), GALLAGHER (3), McCOMISH. (Cullen, Sellars, McLaughlin.)
As the score suggests, an easy win. O'Keefe scored from a tight angle (65 seconds), Eaglesham from the edge of the box (17) and set up by Gallagher (36) then McComish (43) made it 4-0 at h-t. Gallagher's hat-trick inside 9 minutes made it 7 then a 25-yarder by Smith (65) and Gallagher (84) completed the rout.
44. Sun-21-Oct-2007 [a] W4-1 Civil Service Strollers (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
MP 27/10/2007. OLIVER (2), EAGLESHAM. (1 og.) Line-up as yet unsourced.
45. Sun-11-Nov-2007 [h] L0-5 Celtic (Scottish Youth Cup 3rd Round)
MP 24/11/2007. Line-up as yet unsourced.

2008-09
46. Fri-17-Oct-2008 [h] W1-0 Arbroath (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
MP 1/11/2008. Lesser Hampden. TULLY. Line-up as yet unsourced.
47. Sun-09-Nov-2008 [a] L1-1 Cowdenbeath (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
MP 22/11/2008. AET (1-1). Lost on pens. McGUIRE. Line-up as yet unsourced.
Thistle trailed at half-time but a goal by McGuire levelled the tie and there was no more scoring. Cowdenbeath just edged Thistle out on penalties.

2009-10
48. Sun-13-Sep-2009 [a] L0-1 East Stirlingshire (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
MP 19/9/2009. Scully, Hodge, Baxter, Lochhead, McDermott, McGeough, Dunbar, Bannigan, Sweeney, MacBeth, Tully. (Fraser.)

2010-11
49. Sun-10-Oct-2010 [h] W7-0 Civil Service Strollers (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
MP 16/10/2010. FRASER (2), BANNIGAN (2), McGROTTY (2), CAMPBELL. Line-up as yet unsourced. 1st Round bye.
50. Mon-08-Nov-2010 [a] L0-1 St Mirren (Scottish Youth Cup 3rd Round)
MP 13/11/2010. Scully, Kennedy, Pearce, Lochhead, Ketterer, Campbell, Dunbar, Bannigan, Fraser, Clogherty, Burbridge. (Sweeney, Hodge, Burns.)
There was no shortage of chances at either end. Neither team enjoyed ascendancy for very long. The deadlock was broken with a deflected shot that gave Scully no chance (57). A St Mirren defender was sent off (85) but they held on for a rather lucky win.

2011-12
51. Sun-11-Sep-2011 [h] L1-2 Dunfermline Athletic (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
MP 17/9/2011. At Petershill Park. Wightman, Bradley, Griffin, Ketterer, Sekhon, McLean, Wilson, Keenan, Black, McBRIDE, Burbridge. (McKee, Mossan, Moffat.)
Dunfermline had the better of the first half-hour although Wilson and Black went close. The Pars went ahead (25) then McBride equalised (36). Wilson hit the post after h-t but Thistle fell behind to a wind assisted goal direct from a corner. Late on the post prevented a heavier defeat.

2012-13
52. Sun-23-Sep-2012 [h] W3-1 Spartans (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
Source not recorded. Line-up and scorer(s) as yet unsourced. 1st Round bye.
53. Fri-26-Oct-2012 [a] W3-1 Edinburgh City (Scottish Youth Cup 3rd Round)
MP 3/11/2012. LINDSAY, BLACK, HALSMAN. Line-up as yet unsourced.
54. Sun-25-Nov-2012 [h] L0-6 Inverness Caledonian Thistle (Scottish Youth Cup 4th Round)
MP 15/12/2012. At Firhill. Wightman, Brown, Sekhon, Lindsay, McMullin, McLean, Keenan, Wilson, Leyden, Black, Gallacher.
Thistle trailed 1-0 at half-time but conceded two goals from corners. The young side (with some U/17s drafted in to cover for injuries) fell away badly and Inverness ran out emphatic winners.

2013-14
55. Sun-20-Oct-2013 [a] L1-2 St Mirren (Scottish Youth Cup 3rd Round)
MP 27/10/2013. Waters, McMullan, Brownlie, Lindsay, Keenan, Wilson, Gallagher, McDaid, Martin, Leyden, DUGGAN. 1st and 2nd Round byes.

2014-15
56. Sun-28-Sep-2014 [a] L2-4 Spartans (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
MP 4/10/2014. Waters, McInally, McMullin, Hendry, Lindsay, Docherty, McDaid, Leyden, Nisbet, Colina, DILLON. (McLaren, McLaughlin, GALLACHER.) 1st Round bye.
Almost 2 years to the day, another cup defeat to Spartans. One-down in 10 mins, Thistle rallied but good goalkeeping thwarted their efforts. It was 3-0 at half-time, the third a penalty. Hendry was sent off (65, 2nd yellow) and soon it was 4-0. Dillon and Gallacher scored in the last 10 mins to make it look better then Mclaughlin hit the post.

2015-16
57. Sun-20-Sep-2015 [a] L0-1 Motherwell (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
PTFC. Waters, McInally, Penrice, Trialist, McMullin, Lynn, Lamont, Docherty (D), Nisbet, Leyden, McLaughlin. 1st Round bye.

2016-17
58. Fri-02-Sep-2016 [a] W6-0 Heriot-Watt University (Scottish Youth Cup 1st Round)
PTFC. Cullen, Stokes (I), PENRICE, McInally, McMullin, McCarthy, Lamont, Wilson (C) (2), McLAUGHLIN (3), Docherty, Stokes (J).
59. Sun-25-Sep-2016 [a] W3-2 Cowdenbeath (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
MP 15/10/2016. AET. Cullen, Stokes (I), Penrice, McInally, McMullin, Wilson (C), Lamont, Docherty, McLAUGHLIN (3 - 2 pens), McCarthy, Stokes (J). (Hall, Lynch, Fleming.) Future-JAG Sneddon was in goal for Cowdenbeath.
Cowdenbeath applied early pressure but gradually Thistle got going. They went ahead through McLaughlin's header. Slack defending led to an equaliser but McLaughlin scored from the spot when Wilson was tripped. A free header sent the tie into extra-time, but McLaughlin earned his hat-trick with his 2nd penalty.
60. Sun-06-Nov-2016 [h] W4-1 East Kilbride (Scottish Youth Cup 3rd Round)
MP 26/11/2016. Cullen, Stokes (I), Penrice, Grainger, McMullin, WILSON (C) (2), LAMONT, Docherty, McLAUGHLIN, McCarthy, Stokes (J). (Fitzpatrick, Hall, Fleming.)
Thistle had most of the play, East Kilbride relying on hitting on the break. Lamont's free-kick opened the scoring (27). Wilson's low shot in the corner made it 2-0 (37) then he made it 3-0 at half-time. The visitors pulled one back courtesy of some poor defending but McLaughlin made it 4 for a comfortable win.
61. Sun-04-Dec-2016 [a] W2-1 St Johnstone (Scottish Youth Cup 4th Round)

2021-22
69. Fri-22-Oct-2021 [a] L3-4 Celtic (Scottish Youth Cup 2nd Round)
CEL. At Excelsior Stadium, 7.30pm. Line-up as yet unsourced. TAGGART, STEVENSON (2). 1st Round bye.
Taggart volleyed home a 30th minute equaliser, but Celtic were 3-1 ahead at the break. An exciting and open second half saw the home side increase their lead, but Jags continued to push forward and, on 81 minutes, Stevenson reduced the deficit. The same player scored a scrappy third goal from a corner just minutes later, ensuring a grandstand finish. Thistle hit the post with almost the last kick of the game. A valiant effort.

SFA. 7.00pm at Links Park. Cameron, Corr, Ferrie, Monaghan, McEwan, McKenna, McGINLAY, Falconer, Loney, TURAY (3), Gaughan. (Lockhart, O'Donnell, Horn).
A first-half hat-trick from Sallu Turay always had Thistle in control of Celtic's 3rd Round conquerors. Horn came on for Turay at half-time and two goals early in the half (one for each side) maintained the status quo 'til the end.
74. Fri-26-Jan-2024 [a] L1-5 Ayr United (Scottish Cup Quarter Final)
2.00pm, Townhead Park. Cameron, Ferrie, Low, Monaghan, McEwan, Lockhart, Loney, Falconer, Horn, CAMPBELL, Gaughan. Listed subs: Storey, Johnston, Corr, O'Donnell, McKenna.
A grim afternoon in Cumnock. With top prospect McGinlay having departed suddenly and top scorer Turay being out injured, the build-up to the big cup tie was not ideal. Two penalties, two poor errors and a free kick had Ayr on easy street; Ché Campbell's goal for 5-1 was merely a consolation later in the second half.
