Bio Extra

This young keeper joined the Reading Academy as a 10-year-old and worked his way up. In November 2018, the 16-year-old Myles made his debut for Reading at U-23 level and did very well indeed keeping a clean-sheet in an important 3-0 cup win away to Bracknell Town. Whilst at Reading he had short loan spells with Wealdstone, Tonbridge Angels, AFC Hornchurch and Bognor Regis Town before making the switch to Watford in January 2020, signing a two-and-a-half-year deal. From there, he had a spell out on loan with Wingate & Finchley of the Isthmian Premier League before spending the second half of that season with National League South side Concord Rangers. The keeper stayed in the National League South during 2022/23 and became regular first choice at Welling United, where he went on to claim the Manager’s Player of the Year award. He then returned to Watford in April 2023 and featured on the bench for the Sky Bet Championship clash away at Coventry City.

Signing a season-long loan-deal with Partick Thistle in the summer of 2024, manager Kris Doolan spoke to the club website:

It’s no secret that we’ve been looking to add a goalkeeper to the group especially after David Mitchell picked up his injury against Clyde so we’re delighted to bring Myles in. He’s a player who comes highly recommended from contacts at Watford and having been out on loan in England previously he also has a good grasp of what it’s like playing in a first team environment every week. From my initial conversations with him I can tell he’s excited to be joining the club and hungry to make an impact as a Partick Thistle player. He’s had the chance to meet some of the squad today but he’ll join training tomorrow and I’m sure he’ll settle to this group well.
