| Miller |
Miller (forename unknown) was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The forward appeared for Thistle in May, 1899. He made his only known appearance on Saturday, 13th May, 1899, in a 1-0 defeat away to Third Lanark in the Glasgow League. There were no goals for Miller in his only known appearance for Thistle. His known club-list included Falkirk Amateurs and Partick Thistle. We don't know where or when Miller died. *

![]() This unknown outside left appeared just the once, in the last game of season 1898-99, a Glasgow League engagement vs. Third Lanark at Old Cathkin Park. In goals, McKay was another one-off who eludes us. The Scottish Referee (15/5/1899) reports that Miller was a Falkirk Amateurs player, so perhaps that's an indicator of some sort. A brief search of records shows that there was a Miller who played on the left wing for Falkirk Hawthorn at this time, so there's a reasonable possibility that's the same player. 2,000 were there to see Miller's only game, on the pleasant afternoon of 13th May 1899. A single goal (10) settled a closely fought match in which Thistle fought pluckily but the forwards were poor. The Jags did “score” once but it was disallowed. |
