Michael Jackson was born on Friday, 25th August, 1939, in Glasgow. The 5' 10 (11st 6lbs) forward signed for Willie Thornton's Thistle on Saturday, 29th October, 1966, having most recently been with Athlone Town. Aged 27, he was listed as a substitute for the first time on Saturday, 12th November, 1966, in a 2-2 draw at home to Motherwell in the SFL First Division. There were no registered first-team appearances for Mike in his time at Thistle. Mike's club-list included Benburb, Celtic, St Johnstone, Third Lanark, Drumcondra, Athlone Town, Partick Thistle, Clyde, Queen of the South and Clydebank. |
