 McBride (forename unknown) was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The forward signed for Thistle in August 1888, having most recently been with Moffat. He made his first known appearance on Saturday, 11th August, 1888, in a 4-2 friendly win at home to Kilbirnie. That day, McBride became a member of our scoring debutant's club. He scored the last of his 7 known goals on Saturday, 17th November, 1888, in a 1-1 draw away to Clyde in the Glasgow Cup. He played his last known game for the club on Saturday, 5th January, 1889, in a 4-2 friendly win at home to Vale of Leven, having appeared for the Thistle on at least 20 occasions. His club-list included Moffat and Partick Thistle. We don't know where or when McBride died. *
