Maurice Ogston White was born on Wednesday, 9th May, 1870, in Glasgow. The forward joined Thistle in 1892. Aged 22, he made his first known appearance on Saturday, 24th May, 1892, in a 4-1 friendly defeat at home to Linthouse. That day, Maurice became a member of our scoring debutant's club. He scored the last of his 3 known goals on Thursday, 4th May, 1893, in a 2-0 friendly win at home to Queen's Park Select. He played his last known game for the club on Saturday, 27th May, 1893, in a 7-4 win away to Morton in the Greenock Charity Cup, having appeared for the Thistle on at least 23 occasions. His known club-list included Minerva and Partick Thistle. Maurice died on Saturday, 7th March, 1908, in Glasgow, aged 37.
