 Maughan (forename unknown) was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The defender signed for Thistle on Monday, 6th April, 1903 (after a trial game), having most recently been with Duntocher Hibernian. He made his only appearance on Saturday, 4th April, 1903, in a 2-0 win at home to Rangers in the Inter City League. There were no goals for Maughan in his one-off appearance for Thistle. His club-list included Duntocher Hibernian and Partick Thistle. We don't know where or when Maughan died. *
