Matthew Doherty was born on Wednesday, 13th April, 2005, in Paisley, Renfrewshire.

The defender was introduced to Ian McCall's Thistle in June, 2021, having most recently been with Partick Thistle U-18.

Aged 16, he made his one and only appearance on Saturday, 3rd July, 2021, in a 2-1 friendly win away to East Kilbride.

At May, 2024, his club-list included Partick Thistle, St Patrick's Former Pupils, Benburb and Rutherglen Glencairn.

Bio Extra

This young right back came on for the full second half of the 2-1 pre-season friendly win at East Kilbride in July, 2021, which proved to be his only involvement in a first team matchday squad. After leaving Thistle in the summer of 2022, Matty played with St Patrick's FP and, in the following close season, he stepped up to the 6th tier with Benburb of the West of Scotland Premier League as a first team squad player. In September 2023, he joined Rutherglen Glencairn for a loan spell.
