TTA report

"Nothing each written all over it" was a popular verdict for a game dominated by midfield play with few clear-cut chances. Graham and Robinson brought out routine saves but generally neither keeper had much to do. A draw looked about correct. One point and a clean sheet at a difficult venue in driving rain not too shabby.

KERR McINROY was industrious and commanding on a foul day in the Highlands. Might have snatched it with a fine strike at the end, but it just wasn't a day for glory.

Partick Thistle missed the chance to make up ground at the top end of the Scottish Championship after being held to a draw by Inverness Caledonian Thistle. With Raith Rovers and Dundee United drawing, Kris Doolan's side could have moved to within two points of the summit. However, Thistle could not find a way past Mark Ridgers, even late on when the goalkeeper spilled a Kerr McInroy shot, as Tomi Adeloye lashed over the bar. Duncan Ferguson's Inverness CT remain ninth and stay unbeaten after his first home game in charge.

Partick Thistle manager Kris Doolan (speaking to Jagzone):

I never really felt that the game was on a knife edge at either box, it was mostly in midfield that the game seemed to take place, and the conditions might have played a part in that, although we don't use that as an excuse as everyone has to play in it. On a day like today it's all about concentration, one lapse and you lose a goal. We didn't give away too many slack passes and it's a team effort to get a clean-sheet, and that's the least we wanted to get away with here. This is a notoriously difficult place to come to, so looking back it could be a good point.
