A desperately poor first half. A defensive mix-up saw Sneddon lobbed from 25 yards (9). A fine shot by Slater from the edge of the box (60) put Thistle back on level terms then Doolan touched in a goal-bound flick by Storey from an off-side position. A break from well within Morton's half (80) ripped Thistle apart.

Charlie Telfer's fine finish ensured Greenock Morton beat Partick Thistle to move up to fifth in the Championship. The former Rangers and Dundee United midfielder latched on to a perfect through ball by Reghan Tumilty and found the bottom corner. Morton led early when Scott Tiffoney chipped Jamie Sneddon wonderfully from 25 yards after a defensive mix up. Thistle's equaliser was from the same range - Craig Slater's exquisite strike in off a post.

Look, it sounds like a broken record. Every week's the same. That's not good enough, it has to change and I'm sure it will. The first-half angered and disappointed me. We wasted a half of football - people not wanting to take responsibility, people not wanting to run and conceding a ridiculous goal.

A great way to finish the year, to get back on the winning trail and a really hard-fought win. The counter attack was something we talked about because at times Thistle play expansive and leave themselves open at the back - that's why Tiffoney started.
