ICT scored with their first attack (rebound off a post headed in, 10). Bell fisted out a corner that was returned with interest (22) then a pen (foul, 32) made it 3. Storey's pen was parried (40) but he missed the rebound. Spittal and Doolan scored from close in (82 and 93) in a spirited second half but the first half was awful.

Inverness recorded their first home victory of the season with a 3-2 win over Partick Thistle. A Jordon White header and Shaun Rooney put the hosts into a strong lead before Sean Welsh made it three from the spot. Thistle were awarded their own spot kick but Mark Ridgers saved from Miles Storey. With eight minutes to go Blair Spittal pulled one back for the visitors before Kris Doolan's late effort ensured a narrow win for Inverness. The result means John Robertson's men are perched top of the Championship pile after five games, a point ahead of Ross County and Ayr United. For Thistle, Alan Archibald's men sit seventh.

Partick Thistle manager Alan Archibald (speaking to the BBC):

Bizarrely enough we started the game really well. With bad defending we gave them three goals - bad goals to lose and we were well in the game at the time. We got a penalty before half time - we missed that. We always looked a threat. The second half we gave ourselves a mountain to climb and we've done it a couple of times away from home and we can't keep doing it.

Inverness manager John Robertson (speaking to the BBC):

I thought the first 65-70 minutes was magnificent. We pressed the ball, high intensity, won it back, created chances. We were a wee bit disappointed to come in only 3-0 up at half-time. When you are 3-0 up you tend to want to protect what you've got without taking any undue risks and I think that's kind of where we fell in a wee bit. I think the second goal slightly takes the shine off a really good performance, a commanding performance.
