Thistle were well beaten by top of the league Hamilton. A few early chances were wasted then Hamilton took control. Storey cleared a shot off the line (18) then a curling shot from the edge of the box (24) made it 1-0. A header at a corner (76) put the game out of reach. No complaints.

Hamilton Accies extended their lead at the top of the First Division table with a comfortable win. James McCarthy and David Winters went close to scoring before Richard Offiong struck a spectacular shot for the opener on 24 minutes. James McArthur, McCarthy and Offiong all wasted good chances before Thiste responded with a Scott Chaplain shot. But Chris Swailes scored with a powerful header from Tony Stevenson's corner to make sure of the points.
