“Campbell has surrounded himself with abject mediocrity” (GH). Bottom club Alloa scored 24, 60 and 71 for a deserved win. McCulloch (28) and Roberts (66, pen) clawed Thistle back twice but it was an inept performance. Quitongo hit the bar (89). “I cannot believe the mentality of some of the players” (Campbell).

Alloa Athletic produced a spirited display to snatch three welcome survival points at Firhill. Paul McLeod headed home the opener for the visitors but Scott McCulloch cracked in a terrific 35-yard free-kick to draw the Jags level at the break. Ross Hamilton fired Alloa back ahead in the 60th minute only for Thistle's Mark Roberts to net a penalty soon after. Graeme Brown grabbed a deserved winner for the Wasps in the 71st minute when he slipped in a shot from close range.
