HA credits Jukka Santala with Thistle's opener but SB/BBC/DR say it was a Brown o.g. The BBC report states: “The Jags took on five minutes when Jukka Santala's shot hit both posts and would have rolled to safety, but Ally Brown knocked the ball into his net.” DR report quotes RR keeper Brown admitting the ball hit both posts and into his hands and he dropped it over the line. The og evidence seems clear.

A Santala shot (5) hit both posts, the keeper held it then dropped it over the line for an og. Several chances to increase the lead were fruitless. Rovers began the second half strongly and Stewart parried a shot that was knocked in (47). Kilgannon was fouled but sent a pen wide (66) but on balance, a draw was fair.

An end-to-end encounter ended with both sides sharing the points. The Jags took on five minutes when Jukka Santala's shot hit both posts and would have rolled to safety, but Ally Brown knocked the ball into his net. Rovers drew level after 48 minutes when Colin Stewart blocked Neil Jablonski's volley but Brian Fairbairn was on hand to ram home the rebound. Partick squandered a glorious chance to go back in front after 66 minutes when Sean Kilgannon sent a penalty wide.
