Reverting to 4-4-2, Thistle started well and had a number of chances then, typically of late, Clyde scored from 35 yards with their 1st shot at goal (20). It was nearly 2-0 before Wilkinson scored (39) close in at a free-kick. It was mostly Clyde in the second half and there was a penalty scare but Thistle held on for a point.

Partick defender Andy Wilkinson scored his first goal of the season to earn his struggling side a point. The home team took the lead on 20 minutes when a Gary Bollan free-kick was deflected past stranded keeper Kenny Arthur off the defensive wall. But six minutes from the interval, Thistle grabbed the equaliser when the Clyde defence failed to clear and Wilkinson scrambled the ball home. However, Hamilton's win moves Partick down to ninth in the First Division.
