The only goal came from Escalas when he controlled the ball and shot home an Anis cross (31). Chances to extend the lead were missed after the break and it was almost thrown away when Anis gave away a needless corner late on but he cleared the resultant shot off the line. A narrow but deserved win.

Partick clocked up their second win with a narrow but deserved success at promoted Hamilton. The vital goal came after 31 minutes when Juan Escalas collected a pass from Jean-Yves Anis to drill the ball past Accies keeper Dave McEwan. Hamilton came close after 68 minutes when a drive from David Hamilton was cleared off the line by Anis. McEwan was the busier keeper and Thistle were guilty of passing up a number of good chances.
